Sermon Series on the Gospel of Mark
We are studying the Gospel of Mark where Jesus is portrayed as a man who backed up his words with action that constantly proved he was the Son of God. Written by John Mark between A.D. 55 and 65, Mark was probably the first Gospel written and records more miracles than does any other Gospel. Picture yourself in the crowd as Jesus heals and teaches. Imagine yourself as one of the disciples and remember that Jesus came for us who live today as well as for those who lived 2,000 years ago.
You may wish to read the passages in Mark that will be used as part of the sermon text each week during this series.

Manos de Christo Annual Tamale Sale
It's that time of the year when we can chow down on some delicious tamales while supporting a great mission. You have through Dec. 5th to order pork, jalapeno pork, bean or chicken tamales at $12.00 per dozen. Pickup is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 10th between noon and 3:00 p.m. at DSPC. Contact Betty Meyer at halbett12@aol.com to place your orders.

In January 2011, DSPC is beginning a new ministry called Partners in Prayer. Through this ministry, participants will commit to pray for a small number of church families each day using a guided prayer. In the near future, you will receive a letter and commitment card in the mail. In the midst of our busy lives, this is a simple, but important ministry in which we can all become involved — and what a wonderful way to begin our new year!
Womens Retreat on Feb. 25 - 27, 2011
