WELCOME! You've found the website for New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, located on a beautiful site just west of Landa Park, one of New Braunfels' most visited attractions. NBPC was chartered in 1955, and in 55 years, we have grown from 12 members to over 700!

Many of us dress casually, visitors comment on the friendliness of the congregation, and we think our facilities and programs are among the best in the community. We hope you will like what you see here, and we invite you to let us welcome you personally to New Braunfels Presbyterian Church. Stop by our visitor's table in the center of our Narthex (lobby) to pick up such information as you may desire, and accept our gift of a small bag of wonderful home-made chocolate chip cookies.

Please don't feel you have to be a member to visit any of our weekday or Sunday classes, or any of our social activities. We're glad to have you participate.

We also offer many service activities you might like to participate in, and we are open to helping with your favorite.

From our Stephens Ministers...
"I can do everything through him who gives me strength."

NOVEMBER CALENDAR THIS WEEK'S CALENDAR
Sunday,November 14: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD deadline, sponsored by our Youth, has pre-wrapped shoe boxes available now in Katrina's office for you to fill with Christmas gifts for a child who will not otherwise receive gifts this year. Inside each box is a brochure outlining items that you can and cannot include in the box. Please pick yours up right away, or see Christmas Child for an on-line gift.

Sunday, November 14: MISSION FAIR The Presbyterian Pan American School will sing during our worship services; Mr. Chris McRae, 1st Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith, Ark, will explain the development of solar powered water purification systems places that have no potable water; the many agencies that are sponsored by our church will set up displays in the Activity Center; and our Youth will provide breakfast tacos and box lunches as a fundraiser for their mission projects. Equal Exchange items and crafts from Kenya and Guatemala will be offered. Don't miss this interesting and inspiring presentation.

Sunday, November 14-December 5: YOUTH TAMALE SALE Support this annual Youth mission project by ordering some delicious tamales for pick-up at the church on Sunday, December 12, 2010. If you would like to "try before you buy" the youth will have samples available at the NBPC Youth Display in the Activities Center during the Mission Fair, and order forms will be available in Katrina's office.

Wednesday, November 17: WELCOME WEDNESDAY will celebrate its final meeting for the fall semester with a free pot luck dinner. Cook up your favorite dish or a dessert, and we will provide tea and coffee for you to enjoy. The elementary children will have choir rehearsals, the youth will have Bible studies, and some adults go to bell rehearsal or to attend the Disciple I class. There are always folks who like to play dominos and others who just sit and visit. There is something for everyone at Welcome Wednesday, so come join us!

Monday, November 29: COAT DRIVE This is the final pick-up date for this "Communities in Schools" effort to give new and gently used coats of all sizes (infants to adults) to be given poor families along with a free dinner, bags of groceries, and toys for the children. Please place coats in the box provided at the church.

Tuesday, November 30: MEN'S DINNER at 6pm for visiting, and 6:30pm for dinner at the Clear Springs Restaurant, on Highway 46 toward Seguin. All men are invited to attend this "dutch treat" social hour and dinner, so come enjoy dinner with us!

Sunday, December 5: HEALING SERVICE A quiet, candlelit service of healing and wholeness with music, prayer, and communion will be held in the sanctuary at 7pm. Christmas will soon be here - a time when persons we have lost are missed more deeply, and when pain, illness and sorrows seem magnified by the gaiety of the season. Bring to God your grief, losses, and broken relationships and find God's peace. If you know someone who may be lonely or suffering, invite them to join you.
