The New Testament is rich with word meanings from the original Greek language. One of the most powerful words in the New Testament is the word "koinonia." In the English language, it is translated, "fellowship." However, the true meaning of "koinonia" goes much more deeply than mere acquaintance. The Greek word depicts a strong, close bond which only Christians can possess. A lost world cannot experience "koinonia." God has reserved it for His children as they are in right relations with Him and one another.
At Faith Baptist Church of Iowa Park, there is a strong sense of the "koinonia" fellowship of the Lord. Deep, meaningful relationships abound within this congregation. We pray consistently that persons feel the presence of God when they enter the doors of this church and they will be drawn to the Lord because of it.
