This past Sunday evening we held our annual Fall Festival as a safe, Christian alternative to Halloween.

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet one body. 1 Corinthians 12:18-20
The apostle Paul was used of God to help us understand how the Church is made up and designed to function best. To get that message across He used an analogy that likened the church to the human body; one body with many members all working together for the good of the whole. When we think of how God designed the human body and how each of the parts work together it is nothing short of a miracle. Its a God thing!
The same is true of His church. How else could so many people, all different, work together successfully on a common goal? Its a God thing.

I would have to go back to check the records but I want to say this was our 6th annual festival. We have been told that ours is probably the biggest and certainly is the best! A festival of this size and make up doesnt just happen. It takes countless hours of planning and hard work. Actually it is the culmination of years of long hours and hard work because each year builds on the previous ones.
For me one of the most exciting parts is seeing how so many members work together for the good of the whole and the end result is a very successful festival.
What happens each year with this event can be applied to every area of the church. This is Gods design and Gods plan; one body with many members, each member doing his / her part for the good of the whole. Its a God thing!
Great things happen when each part of the body works together!
