Some people fast every Monday and Thursday, while others focus more on Sadaqah (charity), and still, others consider taking a Quran class. All of these are excellent ideas, with the last one being especially useful following Ramadan.
Why is After Ramadan the Best Time to Start a Quran Class?
The best time to start a Quran class is after Ramadan because we have grown accustomed to reading and reciting Quran every day and night in Ramadan, including for Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers, more so than we do the rest of the year. It is therefore easier to start learning Quran and memorizing it while you still have that momentum and connection to the Quran.
Many of us attempted to complete the Quran this Ramadan, spending at least an hour per day listening to or reading the Quran.
When Ramadan is over, enroll in a Quran course and set aside some time according to your schedule, possibly after Asr or Maghrib or anytime that is convenient for you, and dedicate it to reading or listening to the Quran. This will help you maintain your relationship with the Quran and retain the amazing spiritual feeling you felt during Ramadan.
It will be extremely beneficial to learn Quran immediately following Ramadan so that you can learn how to read Quran correctly and find the mistakes you have made while reciting during the month. This will also guide you to the proper method of reading the Quran for the next Ramadan insha'Allah.
