Ingersoll Rand 750 is a type of rotary screw air compressor which uses a rotary type positive displacement mechanism. These compressors are gas operated and are used to replace piston compressors wherever large volume of compressed air is needed. They are also used for heavy industrial-scale applications and operating pneumatic tools like jackhammers at construction sites. It uses a continuous sweeping motion so that the pulsation or flow surge remains steady and limited.
The rotary screw mechanism uses two meshing helical screws also known as rotors to compress the gas or air. In a dry running rotary screw compressor, the timing gears ensure that both the rotary gears maintain precise alignment. In oil-flooded rotary compressors, the oil bridges the space between the rotors. It provides a hydraulic seal and transfers mechanical energy between the driving motor and the driven motor.
The Ingersoll Rand 750 air compressor uses the rotary screw mechanism to maximum effect. They have a smooth operation with low vibration and thus they do not require spring suspensions to absorb the vibrations of other machines of similar capacity. While Ingersoll Rand air compressors are available in sizes that range in pumping seeds from 10 CFM to thousands of CFM, the 750CFM model is well-placed to satisfy a variety of needs in many industries. The advantages of Ingersoll Rand 750 Rotary Screw air compressors are described here.
•Low Maintenance: It has no major parts that require regular replacement or repair. Plus, the oil filter elements, seals, and gas filter are easily reachable and can be changed if required. It saves high operating costs such as replacement of piston rings, gland packing, and valve plates. It also leads to lower downtime.
•Low Pulsation: The Ingersoll Rand 750 has virtually no pulsation caused by pressure fluctuations. So, it does not need any dampeners to reduce the continuous vibrations common in conventional air compressors that require large pulsation dampeners for fluctuation reduction.
•Optimum Control: It provides consistent gas delivery under a wide range of operating conditions. It does not need cylinder unloading which would make the process complicated because of sudden changes in the capacity.
•Compact Installation Footprint: This air compressor is capable of practically handling higher volumes of gas in one or two small casings for a smaller overall package. It eliminates the need for more cylinders that end up taking more space.
•No Vibration: The Ingersoll Rand 750 air compressor is essentially vibration-free and needs only one pad to support the static weight of the machine. It does not need deep foundations to handle the heavy weight and unbalanced forces.
