"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
Welcome to Lanes Chapel. Our mission is to assist people in coming to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Our mission is to glorify God through the communication of the Gospel, the education of God's people, and the fellowship of believers through the demonstration of love and acceptance in the spirit of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to maintain that close, personal, friendly, and loving fellowship of "family" that attracted us to Lanes Chapel in the first place and to never lose it. Finally, our mission is to celebrate what the risen Lord has done, is doing, and is going to do through our unrelenting faith in Him.

I wanted to say a BIG thank you to my family for my sabbatical in the month of October. I am feeling not only physically and mentally refreshed but also spiritually revived.
I also wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you who helped with the Revival and the Golf Tournament. Thanks for your hard work and all you do to further the Lord’s Kingdom here at Lanes Chapel.
I ask God to abundantly bless you each and every one of you and protect you all from evil. I am praying for each of you to turn your worries over to God. In Matthew 6:25-26 Jesus says “Do not worry about your life . . . . Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” I recently read “Our Daily Bread” online which gives a daily devotional. This particular devotional was about worrying and this is what it had to say:
Years ago, in an article in the Denver Seminary magazine Focal Point, Paul Borden gave some helpful suggestions for worriers:
Start a worry list. Write down what you’re worried about. The bills. Your job. Your children or grandchildren. Your health. The future.
Turn your worry list into a prayer list. Ask the Lord to work in those situations you’re concerned about. Pray specifically for your needs and depend on Him.
Turn your prayer list into an action list. If you have any insight that there’s something you can do about your cares, do it. As we turn our worries into prayer and action, Borden says, “Paralyzing anxiety can be replaced by concern for the responsibilities of life.”
Don’t fret about the future
I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a good plan. I’ve already started my list. What’s stopping you from starting your list right now?
