Stagecoach Cartage and Distribution, LP. is an integrated company that provides a full range of transportation and warehousing services. The company's name and logo depicting a rugged, hard driving stagecoach were well chosen. With El Paso's old west history and border location, the entrepreneurial spirit began when Stagecoach was founded in 1986 by John R. McLaughlin. His 27-year career in the U.S. Army as a member of both the elite groups of Special Forces and Green Berets helped him build a successful company on the principles of a can do attitude, honesty, integrity and progressive thinking. His “Make it Work” philosophy is still an integral part of our daily operational philosophy.
Under his leadership and guidance, Stagecoach was recognized in INC, Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States. After John McLaughlin's death in 1998, the company has continued its phenomenal growth. In 1999, Stagecoach was ranked one of the top 100 fastest growing privately held inner-city companies in America and became ISO 9002 certified. In 2006 Stagecoach Cartage and Dist. LP was the first carrier granted access to Mexico under NAFTA and in 2008 greatly enhanced the warehousing portfolio with the purchase of El Paso Terminal Warehouses (EPT). Stagecoach remains a family-owned business that is dedicated to providing excellent service to our customers and providing the best work environment for our team of dedicated employees.
