The presentations objective is to examine recent state political outcomes, the states impending budget shortfall and the resultant affect on potential legislation during the 2011 session of the 82nd Texas Legislature with specific emphasis on potential state taxation legislation and other issues pertinent to CPAs.
1. How the elections affect the legislative outlook.
2. Examination of the expected Texas budget shortfall for the coming biennium.
3. Budget cutting vs. revenue enhancement
4. Potential tax legislation
5. Planned TSCPA legislative initiatives
