Lee Jamison, the sage forge, Huntsville Artists, Huntsville, Texas, history, murals, landscape paintings
Texas History:Lee is one of the few historical artists
who makes a specialty of the history
of Texas. Here Sam Houston, as president of
the Republic of Texas, receives a
gift of robes from the Sultan of the
Turkish Empire. His new bride
Margaret is much amused.
Here, in a composite of dozens of photos one
can see the ceiling and three walls. (A table set
for a reception blocked the fourth on the day
these were taken.) As with any real gazebo this
one teems with wildlife such as spiders, humming
birds, butterflies and geckos.
The old home, originally built by a longtime
professor, and early dean at Sam Houston State
is now used for meetings, community functions,
weddings, and receptions.
More MuralsIn the 116 year-old Kellogg-Pritchett house in Huntsville, TX Lee has been
working over the course of two years to create a gazebo out of the dining room.
