Burns DeLatte & McCoy, Inc. (BDMI), has provided engineering services to architectural, commercial, industrial, and institutional concerns for over forty years. During this time, the firm has been engaged in the design of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for widely diversified projects, such as medical facilities, office facilities, educational facilities, research facilities and industrial facilities. These projects include new construction as well as extensive renovations of existing facilities. The scope of these projects in MEP construction cost ranges from several thousand to over twenty million dollars.

This project consisted of the addition of a new student residence facility (Martel College) and the renovation of two adjacent existing residence facilities, accomplished in five phases. Martel College is the newest of nine residential dormitories on the Rice campus.
