This 530-pound Jew Fish, which was brought in to the Aransas Pass Harbor, was taken to the Big Fisherman Restaurant in El Paso, Texas for their grand opening in 1957.

Mr. William Louis Stevens, III came to Aranas Pass once a week for fresh seafood for his restaurants. The Big Fisherman Restaurant opened its Rockport (present) location in 1878 and has been family owned and operated since 1957. Luz Estella Stevens, George Stevens, Bill W. Stevens, Patricia Stevens, Jimmy Stevens, Patricia Stevens, Jimmy Stevens, and Bobby Stevens are glad to continue the family tradition.
Did you know that since 1995 four ladies, presently Mui Pham, Nhuan Pham, Muoi Dam, and Suu Nguyen butterfly, peel, devein and hand bread 1.5 million shrimp per year at the Big Fisherman Restaurant?
