Buena Vista RV Park, is located near Austin, and is conveniently set off Highway 290, about twenty-five minutes east of Interstate 35. The Austin/Bergstum Airport is located just fourty five miles away. We're set in a gorgeous region of Texas Hill Country, not far from Lake Bastrop, Bastrop, and the Colorado River. Make our Elgin campground into your home base while you set out on day trips to explore the lakes and woods of our scenic area.

You can go boating and fishing at Lake Bastrop or the McKinney Roughs Nature Park, then do some hiking and, (if you have a horse to bring), go horseback riding through the wooded Lost Pines. Take a walking tour of the Austin State Capitol or head for the excitement at Manor Downs Horseback Racing, set just twelve miles away. And for a taste of history, be sure to take in the Bastrop Opera House, the Elgin Depot Museum, and the Bastrop County Museum.

Elgin is known as the Sausage Capitol of Texas, so be sure to bring your taste buds when you visit during the Elgin Sausage Stampede in mid October or the Annual Hogeye Festival in late October. Join us for the Juneteenth Festival in mid June or the fun at the Western Days Festival, Parade, and Rodeo.
