The Children's Night Clinic is a new clinic in South San Antonio. We are not a pediatric emergency room. We are a pediatric after-hours walk-in clinic that provides minor acute pediatric care. The Children's Night Clinic is another alternative to the emergency room. Life-threatening pediatric emergencies need to be seen at the nearest emergency room.
Sometimes, your child needs to see a doctor after regular office hours, when your primary care physician is already closed for the day or on the weekends when your doctor is not opened for business. That used to mean a trip to the emergency room and long hours spent waiting to be seen for minor acute care illnesses. Now, Children's Night Clinic offers the convenience of being seen for minor acute pediatric care only, without an appointment (walk-ins only), at convenient hours, especially for the working parent, and much more economical than the emergency room, and without the need of a referral from your primary care physician, and without lengthy waiting.
We are not primary care providers. As such, we do not care for chronic medical conditions to include, among others, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic headaches, chronic abdominal pain or any other chronic medical condition that obviously needs close medical supervision. These chronic medical conditions require close monitoring and at times, extensive work ups and often times, require referral to a pediatric subspecialty. Consequently, your child's primary care provider is the proper channel. Health maintenance (well baby/child) examinations are also not done at Children's Night Clinic. Medication refills of any chronic medical condition are not done at Children's Night Clinic unless it is needed for an acute exacerbation of a chronic medical condition such as may occur during an acute asthma exacerbation.
Children's Night Clinic is capable of handling any minor, acute pediatric problem. Examples of such situations where we can be of service to you are: ear pain, sore throat, acute abdominal pain, cough, acute asthma problems, suspected urinary tract infections, croup, bronchiolitis, vomiting, diarrhea, acute headache, flu symptoms, etc.

Your child will always be seen by a Board Certified Pediatrician. Please feel free to call any time after 6:00 p.m. for directions to the clinic or for any other questions you may have regarding our clinic.

4PM until 11:30PM seven days a week. The only two holidays we are closed are Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
