adoption center between Ft. Worth and El Paso, placing
over 1000 cats and dogs in new homes every year.

Every animal receives a complete vet exam, is fixed,
given vaccinations, wormed, and tested for heartworms
(dogs) and AIDS/Leukemia (cats).

2 Arrested in Merkel 46 Chihuahua Case!On October 9, 2009, or team picked up 46 Chihuahuas
from a vacant house in Merkel, Texas.
Just days ago, two people were arrested in this case by
the Taylor County Sheriff’s office! It was our investigation
that led authorities to arrange the surrender of the dogs,
which werebeing kept in terrible filth. Many needed
medical attention and nearly all of them had mange.
These arrests follow an arrest in Albany in another
case we investigated in which two Dachshunds were
abandoned in an apartment with no food or water. Our
efforts fighting abuse and neglect
are paying off, and it is because of your support!
Another Horror Story!On a recent morning, a lady came to our office with
a puppy and a horrible story. She had been given the
puppy by a man who was looking after several dogs
for a lady who was out of town. He said she did not
leave enough money for food. After seeing the puppy,
we called Abilene Animal Services, and within hours all
the dogs were taken out of an apartment.

The mother, father, and two other dogs were in even
worse shape than the one we saw!

Aluminum Cans Save Lives! Please bring us your cans! We use the proceeds to finance our
heartworm treatments, and we often have as many as 12 dogs in treatment at a time.

We raised over $10,000 toward a new
"used" van, but we still need your help to make
it to our goal of $15,000.00
Every dog and cat that we handle rides in
our van at some time. Every animal that leaves
death row at the pound rides in our van.

And, the van pulls our big Adoption Trailer.

We are involved in several neglect cases
involving large numbers of horses. We will
