Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

Fritz Limke joined his parents and the Lord in Heaven on November 10, 2010. He was 63. He was born to Dorothy and Al Limke on December 29, 1946 in Corpus Christi, TX. Fritz was a graduate of Ray High School and then served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He then resided in Sinton, TX and worked in the construction industry for the remainder of his life.

Geraldine “Jerry” Bownds Quinn Collinsworth went home to the Lord on November 7, 2010 at the age of 84 after a long, hard battle with Alzheimer’s. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Rhea Royall Quinn (1979), and her second husband Ernest Collinsworth (1992). Jerry was born September 12, 1926. She was raised in Odem and lived there most of her life. Jerry attended Odem schools; however, due to the illness of her mother, did not graduate from Odem. She graduated from Charles Bender High School in Humble in 1944.

Eduvijes T. Guerrero passed away at home on November 7, 2010. She was 93.
Eduvijes was born on October 17, 1917 in Lockhart, TX to Jesus and Leonides Torres Guerrero. She made Corpus Christi, TX her home for the past five years and was a former resident of Mathis, TX. Survivors include four brothers: Ladislado Guerrero of Skidmore, TX, Tomas Guerrero and Fidencio Guerrero, Sr. both of Sinton, TX, and Francisco Guerrero of Corpus Christi, TX. Preceding in death are her parents; eight sisters: Baby Angelita, Baby Fabiana, Baby Antonia, Simona Guerrero, Eulalia Guerrero, Maria G. Valadez, Antonia G. Reyes and Maria G. Ramos; one brother Marcelino Guerrero. Visitation began Tuesday, November 9, 2010, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. A rosary was held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Edroy, TX, with Father Tung Tran as celebrant. Burial followed at Edroy Cemetery, Edroy, TX.

Nelson Warren Miller, Sr. passed away November 6, 2010 in Beeville, Texas. He was 93.
Nelson was born on May 6, 1917 in Robstown, Texas to George and Dora Manzer Miller. Nelson was a former resident of Corpus Christi and Robstown who made Papalote, Texas his home since 1949 where he was a farmer and rancher. Nelson served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his wife Pauline Miller of Papalote, TX; two sons: Nelson Warren Jr. (Joy) Miller of Papalote, TX and Paul Lee (Vickie) Miller of Nacogdoches, TX; three grandchildren: Keith Lee Miller, Paula Pearson and Kim Smith. All services will be private.
