Our Texas operation started as The Beneke Company, Inc., and became the first public adjusting company in Texas when the Dallas office opened in 1965. The firm later expanded to Houston and Austin. Bobs son Jim joined us in 1978, adding a third generation to our company. The company is now headed up by Scott Davidson, who has over 25 years of public adjusting experience and has handled over a billion dollars in claims. We have been at the forefront of the effort to license public adjusters in Texas and were instrumental in the creation of the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA).
Our Colorado operation was established in 1990 by Patrick W. Bickford, who was one of the founders of Adjusters International. In 1985 we, along with a group of leading public adjusting firms in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, foresaw the need for an international network of highly skilled public adjusters who could bring specific expertise to servicing any type of loss, anywhere, at any time. Adjusters International was the result.
Following the Four Mile Canyon Fires, the Boulder Daily Camera asked Bruce Kabat of Adjusters International of Colorado to contribute an informational article regarding fire loss recovery. The October 1st edition of the Daily Camera featured his article in the paper's At Home Section. "Your Fire Loss & Recovery" covered the challenges that the residents of Four Mile Canyon will face during their recovery. From understanding their insurance policies to deciding whether to rebuild or relocate, there are a lot of decisions that homeowners will need to make in the upcoming months.
