At Native Furniture Works, you are involved in the creation of fine furniture from the beginning. From a single end table, to an entire dining room group, every piece is designed to last. While founder James Robertson, who began building furniture in 1976, still designs every piece himself, the freedom is yours to select the style, upholstery, tile patterns and also the choice of woods and stains. Our handcrafted methods such as Mortise, Tenon, and Doweling, are time honored construction techniques that have fallen by the wayside because of today’s mass-produced furniture industry. However this attention to detail results in a sophisticated and stylish piece of furniture that is built to last a lifetime.
Art, in all its forms, begins with a vision. It’s an original idea that is translated into a physical being for others to experience. Art, like individuals, has a soul that cannot be duplicated on an assembly line or created in mindless repetition. Art is individualistic.
The furniture being created at Native Furniture Works is a celebration of this ideal. Every design is a one-of-a-kind, not a temporary fixture, but built to last the ages-like any work of art.
Remember, that we’ve got wood, now what do YOU want to make out of it.
