Vandry BJJ Academy, in Austin, TX. is a training environment for the entry student to our accomplished competitors. We teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced techniques in the fascinating art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. In addition to Jiu Jitsu classes for adults and children, we offer MMA, Muay Thai, and Judo training.
Vandry Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is headed by Central Texas' first and highest ranked Black belt in BJJ, William Vandry. Professor Vandry is an accomplished 3rd degree Black belt under the legendary Master Carlos Machado and his brothers from Brazil. Vandry was one of Texas' first four BJJ Black belts under Machado; and has competed in four Pan American World championships: placing one fourth place, two Silver medals, and one Gold.
Professor William Vandry's Austin BJJ Academy also offers MMA classes that breakdown Mixed Martial Arts striking, takedowns, and the ground game. We offer a safe and technical environment to learn and develop the sport of MMA. Vandry BJJ also has Muay Thai classes that provide top level Muay Thai training and conditioning. The Judo class is taught by Judo Black Belt Geoffrey Dennis. Geoffrey is an accomplished competitor that has trained under legends in the martial art of Judo. We also have great children's classes in BJJ to help children develop physical skills and technical knowledge of BJJ; and we also have friendly, unintimidating adult classes are for both men and women. Vandry's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy teaches Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Thai Boxing, and Judo techniques slowly and deliberately. Most of you guys and gals that train at Vandrys are younger than me, so I suspect that some of you are still consuming one to several soda pops every day.Hey, it doesnt matter, I work out like a madman.I can eat and drink whatever I want!The old idea was that soda made you fat, which caused onset of Diabetes Type II.Well, as it turns out, it isnt the weight gain that causes it.
