Dining at the European-Bistro is an experience not to be missed, having the heritage of a little bit of German, Czech, Russian, French, and Hungarian, you're not going to find anywhere in Austin. The European-Bistro's kitchen's executive chef is Piroska Althauser, who has been making food in the European tradition for over 35 years. Steeped in Old World charm, portions are large and prices are reasonable, and even the breadcrumbs are made fresh daily.

Most restaurants use pork for Weinerschnitzel, but at the European-Bistro only the highest quality veal is used.  The dessert alone is worth the short drive out of Austin, with Black Forest Cake made with cherry liquer, Mozart Cake with pistachio almond, chestnut cake, and cheese strudel you can satisfy your sweet tooth.
