When it comes to something as personal as your health, you want doctors you can trust like family. Georgetown Women's Center is the first specialty practice for obstetrics and gynecology in Georgetown, Texas. Our loyal following has made us very happy to call Georgetown home. The OBGYN services at our OBGYN clinic are comprehensive.
Today the OBGYN Center is led by partners Dr. Andrew Mahaffey, who joined the practice in July, 1991, and Dr. Jana Jones Schrier, who arrived October, 2004. Native Texans with more than 40 years of combined OB/GYN experience, they provide expert care in a caring, respectful manner consistent with local values.
Conveniently located within the St. David's Georgetown Hospital Complex, just two floors below the hospital's labor and delivery unit and one floor above the operating unit, it is rare that patient appointments must be interrupted or delayed by care of inpatients or new admissions. This near proximity for obstetric and gynecology care offers each of our patients a high level of comfort, knowing we can respond quickly with the precise level of appropriate OB/GYN care.
Striving to be responsive to patient's OBGYN needs, we offer advanced care options available at larger facilities delivered in a hometown atmosphere or referral to the closest sub-specialist available. This community spirit is reflected throughout the hospital, especially so at Georgetown Women's Center.
Our staff will present each OB/GYN patient with all available preventive and treatment options, including minimally invasive procedures, allowing you to make informed decisions about your health. Our gynecologist and obstetrician physicians and/or staff make every attempt to personally answer all phone calls promptly, both during and after hours, and return calls within the same day.
Drs. Mahaffey and Schrier each care for their own patients, alternating time off on weekends when one is always available to delivering and emergent patients. Each maintains board certification through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, are fellows in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, members of the Texas Medical Association, the Williamson County Medical Association, and the Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In order to maintain these accreditations, each doctor must continually engage in continuing education, assuring patients that we provide the best healthcare practices currently available.
It is nice to see this commitment to the care of OBGYN patients at Georgetown Womens Center.
