Decorating the Sanctuary for Christmas
This is a fun time of fellowship, as we prepare our beautiful Sanctuary for the Christmas season. All helpers are welcome as we hang garland, wreaths, and decorate the large Christmas tree in celebration of our Lord's Birth!

Hanging of the Christmas Green in Worship
The most striking and the most universal feature of Christmas is the use of evergreens in churches and homes. Among ancient Romans evergreens were an emblem of peace, joy, and victory. The early Christians placed them in their windows to indicate that Christ had entered the home. Holly and ivy, along with pine, and fir are called evergreens because they never change color. They are ever - green, ever - alive, even in the midst of winter. They symbolize the unchanging nature of our God, and they remind us of the everlasting life that is ours through Christ Jesus.
"Hanging of the Christmas Green" during Worship is our way of beginning the Advent season. Join us as we light the first candle of Advent, and decorate the sanctuary with the colors of the Season.

Michelle Shonbeck, Executive Director of Christian Community Service Center
During Worship, Michelle will share with the congregation the missions of CCSC, and how their annual Jingle Bell Express project benefits local families in need.

Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra Perform "The Word Became Flesh" during Worship

"May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us - yes, establish the work of our hands." Psalm 90:17

Sunday's sermon is about God's vision for our lives. Martus uses Luke 5:1-11 to help us see the vision of Christ for our church & world.

Join us for a FREE Concert in the Commons with Southern Gospel music group, "Legacy Quartet" from Denver. 6pm Sunday Sept. 26.
