The Oasis Church is a Word of Faith, Spirit-filled church focused on making a positive impact upon West Texas by creating a family center where all individuals and families can grow in faith and discover God's plan for their lives. The Oasis Church is a unique non-denominational blend of brand-new believers and established, mature Christians. We are definitely not "church as usual." We are everyone from business owners to railroad workers to homemakers, and most importantly, we are people hungry for more of God in our lives.
Together, we're striving to become the kind of church described in The Word-a church with relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer, and compassioniate care for those in need. In short, we'd like to have the kind of contagious Christianity that can influence and encourage the entire community, one life at a time. You'll find that this is a place where you really matter - because you matter to God. What people usually notice first is the love and acceptance that they feel. A peaceful and caring atmosphere, quality leadership, and community outreach is attracting people from all ages, religious backgrounds, races and walks of life.
The Oasis Church was established in 2003 by Pastors John and Darlene George and a group of hungry families from an existing work. Since the very first meeting, lives have been transformed and encouraged by the power of God's Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
The Oasis Church would be marked by several notable characteristics and emphases including the spirit of faith, prayer, worship, gifts of the Spirit, prophetic preaching, racial diversity, liberal giving, marriage and family development, unity, love and compassion, generational ministries and the anointing of the Holy Spirit with a passionate desire for biblical spiritual awakening.
