Center of Hope wins Model Agency Innovation Award
Center of Hope received the Model Agency Innovation Award from Tarrant Area Food Bank who serves 13 counties and over 300 agencies in North Texas.
The award was for focusing on innovative ways to helping others break the cycle of poverty so that others can become self-sufficient and not require long-term food assistance.

September is National Hunger Action Month Center of Hope is asking Parker County to take action to fight hunger here, in our county.
Right here in Parker County, we saw children who were hungry when we went out in the community through our Camp Hope program.
Over 3.1 million people in Texas dont always know where they will get the groceries or money for their next meal.
Approximately 874,000 Texans suffer from outright hunger
Texas has the 2nd highest rate of food insecurity in the nation

Give your time volunteer at Center of Hope Food Pantry and Kitchen
Give a pound host a community food drive Center of Hope has sacks ready for you to hand out to your neighbors.
Give a dollar last year Center of Hope gave over 4,600 baskets of groceries, which equals a value of $526,349.

Reaching Kids This Summer
Meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of children was the focus of Camp Hope this summer. With 4 locations around the Weatherford area, we reached 332 children during June and July. The groceries given each week valued over $3,000 with 128 different volunteers helping in a variety of ways.

Summer usually means low food shelves at Center of Hope as you can see from this picture taken August 2009.
Keller Williams Realtors of Parker County found a wonderful way for an energetic group of people to help families in our community in a very tangible way. They distributed over 5,000 sacks empty sacks with printed material in several local neighborhoods one afternoon.
A couple days later, they returned and picked up sacks waiting by peoples front door. In one morning, they picked up over 10,000 items for Center of Hope.
