Who are we?
KMJ Contractors, Inc. provides the DFW metroplex with general contracting, construction management, and design build services for commercial construction. Our team brings over 100 years of combined experience to work every day. This experience is vital to a successful project in the extremely complex and competetive construction industry.
Why are we different?
There are four pillars to our approach to contracting. When selecting contractors to bid on your next project, please consider these in comparing our service to other contractors.

We price and provide every project with full time, on-site supervision.
Many contractors will spread supervision over multiple jobs to reduce overhead. This might lower the bottom line a few tenths of a percent, but we believe that this approach leads to potential overruns in time and budget in the end.

We will compete on quality, not on price.
Our price may not always be the lowest, but it's fair. We strive to do thorough take-offs and account for all costs on the project. Where allowed we can value engineer project elements to meet budget constraints but our emphasis is always on what's best for the project, not the bottom line.

We seek out competent subcontractors.
We depend on quality subcontractors to perform the work required on a project. As such, we seek out contractors who have proven themselves. Quality contractors who consistenly perform their work completely and on time can demand a premium for their services. We do not always accept the lowest bidder on a project preferring instead to build success through partnerships.

We are committed to technology.
The commercial construction industry has traditionally been one of the slowest to adopt new technology. We believe the technology involved in Building Information Modeling combined with recognized industry best practices can substantially increase efficiency and quality of project delivery which ultimately impact the bottom line of any project. We support a recent American Institute of Architects initiative to introduce a new approach to project delivery.
