Mesquite is tough and thorny, and clings stubbornly to the rocky hills and the fertile bottom land of Texas. From the start of western history, it has provided a haven and dry forage for cattle and with its tangled thickets, a nuisance for cowboys and ranches.

However, Mesquite is a Cinderella tree. Under the rough exterior lies a beautiful reddish hardwood. When it is carefully and lovingly worked, mesquite has a warm glow and an incredible durability that few woods can come close to matching. It is unaffected by weather, which adds to its stability and character. Mesquite wood also has an exciting range of colors, shapes, and grain.
