Who We Are
El Paso Bible Church, as our name implies, is a church dedicated to the teaching and preaching of the whole counsel of God---the Bible. Our theme verse is Colossians 3:16
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
In other words, our primary concern is "What does God say?"
Once we know what God says, we are committed to "be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" (Jas 1:22). We strive to do this great task with a balance between edification of the saints and evangelism of the lost.
We are a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, non-charismatic church. We stand uncompromisingly on the eternal, inspired, life-giving Word of God. We want to know what God says concerning every phase and activity of our lives. We are fundamental in faith unlike many liberal and apostate denominations.
We are independent in that we are not affiliated with any sectarian body or denomination. The governing power of the church is vested in the board of elders of the church, as Scripture directs.
We are evangelistic and missionary in spirit. We endeavor to proclaim God's truth to our neighborhood and to our world. We participate in local and foreign missions to this end.

El Paso Bible Church was established in 1970 by a group of men and women who wanted to further "the preaching of the Gospel to every creature, the edification of Christians through the teaching of God's Word, the promotion of spiritual fellowship among God's people of like faith, cooperation with Christian activity in harmony with the Word of God, until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The group sought this objective through the expository, dispensational teaching of the inerrant Word of God.
El Paso Bible Church purchased a building near the University of Texas at El Paso campus, desiring to have an outreach to the students. In 1989, the church decided to sell the building due to limited space for expansion. For the next eight years, the church met in a rented storefront while searching for property. The Lord provided a five acre location on which the new church building was erected at 5730 Saplinas. The current facility was dedicated in September of 1997.

The church's first pastor, Jack Meadows, served for ten years. At the end of that first decade, Dave Quiner was called and served as pastor for 22 years. Terry Puett served for four years. On August 10, 2008, Josh Meier was installed as the fourth pastor of El Paso Bible Church. Pastor Meier holds a master's degree in Theology from the Dallas Theological Seminary.
