We will celebrate our Patronal Feast Day on Sunday, October 18. There will be a Pot Luck dinner after Mass. The pot luck will be at the McConnell home unless it rains, then it will be in the parish hall.
November 1, FALL BACK. Clean up day at the church following Mass. Wear clean up clothing. We will have soup and bread for lunch. Let's get the church cleaned up before the Tour of Homes!
St. Luke's will be a stop on the Tour of Homes on December 5.
Deliver Christmas Boxes December 12. We need money to purchase groceries. Please make your check to St. Luke's and note that it is for Christmas boxes.
The Food Pantry at First Christian is running low. Please bring cans of food each Sunday and place them in the box under the bulletin board in the parish hall. Most needed are peanut butter and macaroni and cheese. Also, you can place a check made out to St. Luke's and indicate on the check that it is to go to the Food Pantry, and Doris will see that it gets there. Our town needs our assistance!
In another cooperative venture with First Christian, their Youth and Family Minister, Colin McRaney, has invited our youth to attend the youth function each Sunday afternoon at 5:30 pm. Melanie Cowan's granddaughter Marlee attended last Sunday night and really enjoyed it. This is for youth from 4th grade through high school. Also beginning August 26th their program will extend to Wednesday nights when the 7th - High School will meet. Contact Colin,colinmcraney@gmail.com, for more information.
