Kirk Securities Corporation was founded in 1980 and since has been serving Denton and the North Texas area. Our investment philosophy is conservative, value oriented, and designed to encompass a minimum time horizon of three to five years. It is our intent to assist customers in conserving and building capital over time.
We believe that with diversification, patience, and a clear eye for value an investor can minimize risk and earn a fair rate of return on invested capital. In this sense, we prefer to take a portfolio approach to investing and recognize that risk should be at the forefront of our thinking rather than just a nervous afterthought. Therefore, we counsel with customers, help establish clear objectives, and explore various alternatives to ensure a cohesive and considered investment plan from the very outset.
Our size makes it impossible for us to cover the waterfront. We feel more comfortable restricting our advice and activity to areas where we have managed to gain experience and a level of expertise. We gladly leave tax shelters, commodities, options, and annuities to others. By emphasizing service rather than the sale, we strive to build a mutually profitable, long term relationship with our customers. To this end, we periodically provide a newsletter which highlights recent economic and political happenings impacting the marketplace as well as our general view regarding stock and bond market activity.
