Parish defeats Arlington Grace Prep in first round of TAPPS state playoffs. Advances to play Austin Hyde Park at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 20 in McGregor.

Parish senior football player Charles Cook was selected as The Dallas Morning News Hero of the Week and featured in a half-page congratulations feature in Friday's editions of Sports Day.

Parish's annual Veterans Day ceremony again provided one of the year's top moments as third through eighth graders introduced dozens of family and friends who have served in the military. Juniors and seniors in Mr. Ostroffs college-prep Government class have spent recent weeks working collaboratively to develop action projects that demonstrate in an authentic way that students participation in the political process matters. Students action plans and impact statements have been published as a Political Action Project.
Parish duo makes All-State Choir
Freshman William (David) Long and sophomore Christopher Ponners have been selected to the TPSMEA 2011 All-State Choir. Christopher tied for the first place rating in our region and ranks second in state.
Debate shines in Denton competition
Debate coach Adam John reports a strong showing in a competitive field at the Gossett Invitational at the University of North Texas in Denton. Parish sophomore Sahil Vanjani and senior Blake Andrews were among the top competitors.

Parish Episcopal opens the TAPPS Class 4A state football playoffs 7:30 Friday at Gloria H. Snyder Stadium against Arlington Grace Prep.
Congratulations Panthers on another state tourney season
Congratulations to Panther volleyball in reaching a fourth-consecutive TAPPS state tournament. Parish, which won the '08 state title, reached the state semifinals before being eliminated in San Antonio on Friday.
Summer study abroad application deadline Dec. 1
Applications for summer student programs in Spain and France are being accepted now through December 1.
Friendships and Frenemies with Savvy & Chic
Savvy and Chic is partnering with Parish for programs on Nov. 14 and Dec. 5. Savvy and Chic is an inspiring program that focuses on personal development and empowerment for girls in 4th through 10th grades and addresses issues such as friendships, frenemies, reputation and brand building, peer pressure, and self-confidence.
