In addition, we are proud to cover the state of Texas from its northern border to its southern border. Our home office is located in north Texas in the city of Rowlett, a suburb of Dallas. Our second location is located in McAllen, Texas, a sister city to Reynosa, Mexico. Either way you choose to go weve got you covered!
Gleco Plating North is undergoing dramatic changes. For the past year we have been upgrading our main facility at 2220 Grisham Drive in anticipation of closing our 5201 Grisham Drive location. The first order of business was to upgrade our zinc plating line to handle the consolidation of business. As of August, 2010 we are proud to announce the startup of a new zinc line that contains both acid and alkaline zinc. This new 6 station combination rack/barrel plating will increase our plating capacity by over 40%. In addition, we are eagerly waiting for the completion of a new employee lunch/break room as well as a new, state of the art lab facility at the 2220 location. These endeavors should be complete by the end of October 2010.
Down in the valley, at Gleco Plating South we have even bigger news. We are moving! Yes, we are moving into a new 38,000 square foot facility located at 3701 Ursula Avenue. This new facility will give us over 3 times the space that we currently occupy. It will also help us to increase our plating processes and capacity to accommodate new business and customers. The moving process is starting during September, 2010 and should be finalized during the month of December, 2010. Stay tuned for news about our grand opening festivities in the early part of 2011.
