In Philippians 4:6, the apostle Paul gives us an insight into how to live in these difficult times we are facing today. "Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (definite requests) with thanksgiving continue to make your wants know to God." (AMP)
Through the atoning work of Christ on the cross, we now have the "right" to come boldly before God's Throne with our requests and petitions. God does not want us, as His children, to be filled with fear and anxiety, but He longs for us to come before Him and share our needs and wants with Him. When mixed with faith, our prayers ascent to God and become a sweet smelling savor unto Him.
God is great! We have returned from our recent trip to Kenya withjoyful hearts andenduring stories that show God's great love for us.Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who prayed. Many lives were touched as we traveledthroughout Kenya. Many seeds were planted, watered, and harvested! It was such an honor to be among the Masai peoplein southern Kenya and to be with the people of Usigu in western Kenya. We met so many who were hungry for more knowledge of God andmore of His presence. Currently, there is a very severe drought threatening the people of Kenya. Crops and livestock are dying daily even as many must make the decision as to whether they will have water or food for the day. Along with water and electricity rationing in Nairobi comes the threat of disease. Please pray for the people of Africa and the missionaries who serve them. God is truly greater and can and will provide for His people!
