Mack’s Standard Transmission has been Manual Drivetrain Specialists in Houston, Texas since 1959. Although there is different terminology, “Stick Shift”, “Manual Transmission” or “Standard Transmission”, they all have the same meaning: A motor-vehicle transmission system of interlocking gears connected to a hand-operated gearshift lever “stick shift” and a foot operated clutch pedal which must be manually operated “manual transmission.”
Simply stated the Drivetrain is getting power from the engine of the vehicle to the wheels with an amazing array of hardware in between. The heart of the drivetrain layout is the “transmission.”
