Waking the Passion's mission is to help awaken the passion of a man for:

Friendless isolation, wherein they have no place to experience authentic friendship and safe disclosure.
Spiritual pretense, where heart and passion is masked by the trappings of religious duties and rules.
Self-absorption and addiction in a fruitless effort to fill lives devoid of purpose and meaning.

Memorable experiences that touch another man's life, that restore, regenerate, and transform a man's heart..... one step of the journey at a time.
Our desire is to create three forums for men to build real friendships and engage about their lives.
One form of addressing these needs is facilitated through unique events where men can escape the day-to-day demands and distractions that can keep them from focusing on their spiritual growth and relationships. The event forum is built around a time of play and physical exertion combined with a time of discussion and challenge to the emotional, intellectual and spiritual condition of each man in an affirming and trust-filled environment.
The other two forums will include individual and small group meetings where relationships are built and a process of growth is fostered through discussions over the scriptures, the writings of great Christian authors, and processing the story each man finds himself in. With transparency being the catalyst, and the Spirit of God as the guide, the ultimate goal is for each of the participants to reach a turning point and choose what the next step of his journey will be.
Another mission on many of our trips will be to connect the hearts of men to service opportunities in our world through exposure to those closest to the heart of God: the oppressed, the poor and the fatherless.
