The cornerstone of our treatment rests on exceptional mental health services and clinical excellence. Austin Lakes Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric servies to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.
We promote active treatment that emphasize self awareness, effective communication strategies, and coping skills through a variety of therapeutic milieus. The treatment team works closely with outpatient resources to ensure optimal success in the community.
An Overview of Services
Our mental health diagnostic services and treatment are focused on the specific needs of each client. We offer a supportive environment and distinctive care provided by an interdisciplinary team of experienced professionals. We offer inpatient and outpatient services for adults and specialized programming for those in the early stages of dementia. Our programs integrate thorough discharge plans as well as education to provide each individual wtih the knowledge and tools to help them succeed.
Often older adults experience mood disorders, major depression and anxiety, adjustment disorders of aging, cognitive and behavioral changes due to organic causes, and other psychiatric disorders. We offer a supportive environment with experienced care provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
Treatment Programs Available
Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is an inpatient setting for adults requiring the highest level of nursing care/crisis intervention.
Inpatient Care for those in need of 24-hour hospitalization. This program offers crisis intervention, assessment and medication stabilization, in addition to grief work, coping skills, anxiety and depression education, cognitive therapy, spiritual care, stress management, problem-solving, communication, life transitions, health education, and early dementia work.
Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for patients needing counseling support to maximize their therapeutic work. This program is also a transitional treatment after inpatient hospitalization. The programming is available during both the day or in the evening.
Only a licensed physician can make the diagnosis of need for inpatient treatment.
