Summer is right on our doorstep in Austin, Texas. The weather is getting hot, and the winter weight we put on has at this point worn out it's welcome. Not to worry, our Austin Acupuncture Clinic has a great and healthy nutritional purification cleanse program that can help you lose those unwanted pounds and inches. Purification is merely the internal cleansing detoxification of your body. Think of it as "spring cleaning" for your insides.

Almost every new patient in our Austin Acupuncture clinic has some type of pain. Managing the pain usually involves Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs like Advil and Tylenol. The problem with these drugs are three fold. One, they treat the symptom not the root cause of the pain. Two, they are hard on your kidneys and liver and can cause permanent damage. Three, they are often taken without the advice of any healthcare practitioner. Almost every Austin patient I have shared this information with has been surprised to know of the risk associated with consuming these powerful drugs.

Winter in Austin is mild but the cold does arrive and can last for a week or two before we warm up. The frequent change in temperature can reek havoc on arthritic patients. Their joints ache and can swell as well. The medicines they take from their doctor have some undesirable side effects. Winter, even in Austin, can be tough for them. Acupuncture treatments in Austin can be a very effective, drug free way for relieving their pain and inflammation.
