For a limited time I am including an infrared/thermographic scan for $50. I will scan all the accessible exterior walls, all the ceilings, all the accessible plumbing walls and accessible HVAC ducts and gas appliance flues and the breaker panel. This is normally $150 or more. I want to introduce my clients to the benefits of this technology. This can reveal hidden water leaks, hot wiring, HVAC system leaks, deficiencies in the insulation, flue deficiencies and other possible problems.
FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS
Q: Why is this not included in the standard inspection?
A: A Thermographic scan is far beyond the State requirements. The process can add considerable time to the inspection and report writing process. The equipment is very expensive.
Q: Is it really useful?
A: YES! I have found moisture in walls and ceilings many times that was not visible by any other method. I have also found problems with the wiring and heating and air system. I find deficiencies in the attic insulation in most homes.
Q: Why don't all inspectors offer this?
A: The cost of the equiprment. Clients are not aware of the technology or the value and don't ask about it. Resistance to change or learning something new. Fear it will "open a can of worms". Eventually it will become as common as reports done on a computer and emailed to the client with color photos. Free market competition improves the value of goods and services.

I am a native of the north Texas area and grew up in construction. I worked with my Father who is a Master Electrician. I worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning trade during college. I have held a Pluming and Plumbing Inspector licensed and been the Chief Building Inspector for a small city. I have built homes both as the General Contractor and the actual construction. I built my own home from the ground up with only 40 hours of outside labour. My experience allows me to use my skills wisely and gives me the special ability to find problems. I started my inspection company in 1980 and have inspected over 8,000 homes. While that is not as many as some inspectors I spend more time on each inspection.
