Balboa was rescued by friends of his original people. The family friends didn't realize the conditions that his people had him in. He was kept in a medium sized dog run outside. His people never seemed to keep up with cleaning the dog run, his feces was piled in corner and never thrown away. Balboa got only meal a day and that was only if his people didn't forget to feed him or give him fresh water...
The way the family friends became aware of the situation was because of his peoples kids. The kids told them that the yard smells and sometime mommy and daddy forgot about him. As soon as the found this out they took action immediately.
Balboa was very neglected and all because of a marital separation. They wouldn't give him the time of day because they were too involved with their own problems. Having a pet is a huge responsibility; having family problems should be no excuse not to be able to feed and clean after a pet.
Regardless of his past Balboa continues to be very loving and in need of a forever home. He is somewhat shy at first but will warm up to you and is a big cuddle bug.
This fuzz ball is one and a half year old Steak. He's a sweet cat that acts as if he were a dog. When he plays he nips, rolls and holds your hand as if it were a chew toy. He may be too rough for small kids so it is recommended to the family that they have no small kids. He also love attention and doesn't like other cats around. He doesn't mind dogs, he grew up with them. Steak has been with us since the 12^th of August, and was dropped off because his people were moving. He would make a great companion, there would never be a dull moment.
