Dear Parents of Grades 1-8:
This year, OLV students in grades 1-8 will be participating in the PSIA District Meet which will be held on our campus on Saturday, March 26. This will involve 72 contests with the first grade competing in two contest and the upper grades in up to fifteen. These contests cover speaking and artistic events as well as many academic ones. Students who show strength in those areas will be selected to participate, and you will be notified if your child is one of them so that preparation for these events can begin as soon as possible.
At present, we have coaches for almost every event; however, we do need some help in the following areas: Art Memory 4-5, Maps, Graphs and Charts in grades 7 & 8 (combined) and Impromptu 7-8. Please check with Mrs. Abrameit if you would like to help in any area of PSIA especially the ones mentioned above.
Thank you for your assistance ahead of time. Together we can make this a wonderful experience for everyone.

The Accelerated Reader "New to You" book sale which helps to raise funds for the AR store will be held in November. If you have any "gently" used books, appropriate for our students, please send them to the school to help a good cause. You may drop them off at either the main school office or the Early Childhood Building, or you may contact Cindy White at 579-0994 or Mary Rivera at 575-6671. Keep reading & we will see you at the AR store!
