Interest Rates... Mortgage rates remain at an all time low.
30 year fixed rate average for qualified borrowers was 4.19% (A year ago at this time the average rate was 4.92%)
15 year fixed rate mortgage rate average 3.62%
5 year adjustable rate mortage (ARM)average 3.47%

NOTE TO BUYERS: It is always a good idea to shop lenders. Be sure to ask the lender for a Good Faith Estimate and to provide long quotes with interest rate and no points so you can easily compare one lender to another. All lenders are required to use the same form making it easier for the borrower to compare lender fees. The fees on the HUD (final settlement statement) should match the Good Faith Estimate.
