Please journey to these sites and let me know what you think. I would also love to hear of resources from which you have gained insight.
1. Mercola.com offers a wealth of up-to-the minute health and wellness news (over 60,000 pages of free health information to be more specific!). The site is owned by Dr. Mercola is an Illinois Physician and health activist who shares his 30-year history and on-going research with you in his mission to bring people practical solutions to improving their health. Currently on his site you can take a free Nutritional Typing test www.nutritionaltyping.mercola.com which I found quite insightful. (Resources: Website, Newsletter, Online Health Store) www.Mercola.com
2. ZenHabits.net founded by Leo Babauta. I discovered this site about 6 months ago and have gained inspiration, motivation, and wise direction from the articles there. Recently I found out that this blog was named one of Times voted ZenHabits one of the top blogs on the whole of the internet. And here I thought it was my personal secret discovery Once you visit the site, though, you will quickly find out why as it is easy to get whisked away reading the hundreds of indispensable tips for living a more productive, purposed, joy-filled life. The straightforwardness of Leos articles have a powerful effect and motivate me to simplify my life and focus on the people and tasks most important to me. Though (to date) Ive never met or even emailed him I consider him a friend for all he has invested into my life. Im sure you will feel the same! (Resources: The blog has several years worth of guides to help you live a more efficient life and simple ways to be more productive. You can also download for a fee some of Leos excellent eBooks.) www.ZenHabits.net

4. Dr. Mehmet Oz blends natural therapies with allopathic medicine. Hi website is packed full with useful health information, as are his books, newsletters, radio broadcasts, and TV program called The Dr. Oz Show. Though Dr. Oz touches on a diversity of health subjects, his prevailing message is that of longevity and anti aging. My favorite feature of his website is his health quizzes. I always learn something new about myself when I take them and gain yet more insight on how to become even stronger in my health and vitality. His main site is www.doctoroz.com; but my favorite quiz of his is found at www.realage.com. Make yourself a delicious cup of herbal tea, set aside at least 20 minutes, and have your mom/dad, grandparent, aunt/uncle alerted that you may be calling them. At the end of this extensive (free) quiz, you are told your bodys biological age and what you can do to give yourself a younger age. This test is highly individualized and I believe EVERYONE should do it at least once if not annually!
5. Westin A. Price Foundation co-founded in 1999 by Sally Fallon Morell and nutritionist Mary G. Enig (PhD). Click on the Health Topics link at http://www.westonaprice.org/ and you will find hundreds of articles on eating a traditional diet and the most effective way to prepare foods for optimal nutrition. In my favorite cookbook of all time, Nourishing Traditions: The Cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats (with Mary G. Enig, PhD), Sally offers a well-researched, thought-provoking guide to traditional foods with a startling message: Animal fats and cholesterol are not villains but vital factors in the diet, necessary for normal growth, proper function of the brain and nervous system, protection from disease and optimum energy levels. She also leads in the campaign for real milk and dairy: http://www.realmilk.com/ While the cookbook is not free, you can find many of the life-changing articles from it in her website and well as some of her recipes online. If you were in the market for an essential cookbook, however your kitchen should not be without this one!
I will soon share additional indispensable natural health resources with you in future blogs. These are my first five, however, because of the wide range of information each resource offers. Please be sure to let me know what you think once you visit the sites and also chime in with your favorite sources of natural health information!
