Sylvia received her Juris Doctorate degree in 1997 from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan. A native Texan, she returned to San Antonio and began her career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for the Bexar County District Attorneys office. From a Misdemeanor Prosecuting Attorney immersed in the complex area of DWI trial to her final position where she served as a Felony Prosecutor, in between Sylvia has practiced in the Juvenile Trial Division, practicing the very specialized and unique area of law in the Juvenile Criminal Justice System.
