The Original Texas Concealed Handgun (Concealed Carry) of San Antonio Since 1995
The mission of Texas Concealed Handgun and Concealed Carry of San Antonio is to give Texas citizens, in accordance with Texas law, the privilege of carrying a concealed handgun on their person in order to defend themselves, protect their loved ones, protect their property, or help defend a third person from suffering death or serious bodily injury inflicted by a person with unlawful and evil intents.
Our society seems to be involving, more and more, into one of good verses bad, while the laws presently seem to favor the criminals and ignore the victims. The Second Amendment, along with laws that give the victims more rights, are now constantly under assault by politicians and certain groups in an attempt to weaken the citizenry of this country. This will result in, AND IS CURRENTLY DOING SO, making decent law abiding citizens even more vulnerable to attacks by the ever increasing numbers of "bad people", who make their living by committing crimes.
"The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose." James Earl Jones
"As the Founding Fathers knew well, a government that does not trust its honest, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens with the means of self-defense is not itself worthy of trust. Laws disarming honest citizens proclaim that the government is the master, not the servant, of the people."
This law is not about being an expert with a handgun, but is how to conceal carry, and if absolutely necessary, to use a handgun in accordance with the law by combining intelligence, common sense and practical skills.
All the instructors are professional law enforcement officers and prosecutors with the District Attorney's Office. Sammy Miller is recognized as an expert witness when testifying in court. We know the law and this is what we emphasize.
We are not interested in teaching someone how to "pack" a tactical weapon or how to act as a "SWAT" officer. There are too many potential liabilities associated with this law to place your training in the hands of instructors who generally have only attended a one week instructor school, instead of professional law enforcement officers and prosecutors, who attend at least one mandatory law update every year. Many folks have told us they like to hear the law explained from the people who may prosecute them if they "mess" up.
Since we started our classes in 1995, we have trained over 11,000 applicants including many County, State and Federal Parole/Probation Officers. We are recommended by most law enforcement agencies
