McKenna Village Independent Living is an elegant community for active seniors that provides exceptional recreational, cultural, and life-long learning opportunities.
Unique to the Texas Hill Country, McKenna Village is nestled in the heart of historic New Braunfels. McKenna Village is near lush parks, downtown shopping, and the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers.
The beautifully constructed building boasts 132,000 square feet and will be home to 71 independent apartments with several distinct floor plans available for lease. Convenient safety support bars are available in all apartment bathrooms.

Dining is just one of the many services included in the McKenna Village lifestyle package. Our monthly lease package includes two (2) delicious meals per day. Seating is open and our creative menus change with the seasons and include healthy meal choices, traditional comfort foods, and gourmet entrees. But of course, each apartment has a full-sized kitchen for your own private cooking and dining.

Weekly housekeeping service includes changing of linens and towels, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping.

McKenna Village offers scheduled transportation at no charge to designated locations around the community. Banking, shopping, medical appointments, and library trips are all included throughout the week. Transportation is also provided to scheduled special events, such as theater, concerts, and outings.

McKenna Village is pleased to provide a premium, wireless personal emergency system and fire and security system, complete with video monitoring.

The McKenna Village receptionist staff provides service, information, and a friendly face to greet you throughout your day. A nighttime security team provides eyes and ears for additional safety while you sleep.

McKenna Village takes care of all maintenance for your private apartment as well as the building and grounds.

Art/Culture Activities -
Art classes are held regularly including painting and ceramics. Entertainment and special events including travel to Broadway shows, festivals, and wildlife and historic tours are frequently scheduled.

At McKenna Village, our goal is to provide a quality of life for each of our residents. McKenna Village is dedicated to our life enhancement philosophy of social, psychological, spiritual, and physical well-being for every individual.
This dedication is reflected in every effort our community makes in caring for residents who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias. Our intent is to allow each resident to function independently at their level of ability, while providing care and assistance when needed.
Our life enhancement programs are developed around each person’s specific interests, abilities, past history, and routine. Enhancements flow throughout each day to promote cognitive, sensory, creative, and physical skills.

Each Independent and Assisted Living apartment is equipped with a premium, wireless personal emergency system that can be activated by a remote device worn around the neck or on the wrist. The Memory Care Unit is secured 24-hours a day. McKenna Village also has fire and security systems, complete with video monitoring, located through the building.
