So maybe you are thinking, All these free tools are fine, but how can you save us 5085% on TV and Radio commercials? It is very simple: TV stations and radio stations have what is called perishable inventory. They have a set amount of slots to sell every day, much like airlines or hotels do. If they do not sell a slot, then it perishes. Twenty years ago, most stations had almost zero unsold inventory. That all changed in 1996, however, when the Internet era was born. Since the inception of the Internet, thousands of stations have lost a great deal of revenue. This lost revenue is a direct result of unsold inventory. The migration of existing advertising dollars to the Internet has slowed some, but the pie has been permanently split. Regardless of what some stations want to portray, most of them have quality inventory going unsold every day.
