Club Mark Corporation was founded in 1984 to address the growing need for industry resources relative to membership recruitment and retention. During the high club growth period of the 80's & 90's with high end daily fee clubs being developed in unprecedented numbers, Club Mark's founder, Rick Coyne, accurately predicted that private, member owned clubs, would be deeply effected by this precipitous growth of public facilities.
Since that time, CMC has continued to lead the industry in providing professional services for private clubs, in the provision of timely and informative educational programs to the private club industry, and in developing strategies for over 650 successful client clubs and literally millions of dollars generated on behalf of its clients.
The Club Mark executive team comprises over110 years of combined private club experience spanning country clubs, city clubs, fitness clubs, tennis clubs and a variety of specialty membership type organizations.

Executive Director - Professional Club Marketing Association
Rick Coyne has been engaged in the private club industry for over forty years in areas of club management and operations, strategic planning, market analysis and developing successful marketing programs for private clubs. He has worked with over 675 private clubs and has been a guest speaker in over 600 workshops and seminars, nationally and internationally, including Canada, Spain, England, France, Prague, Mainland China, Columbia and South Africa. For the past twenty-five years, he has been a repeat provider of workshops and seminars for CMAA, PGA, National Golf Course Owners Association, IHRSA, Canadian Society of Club Managers, European Club Managers and has provided hundreds of educational workshops for Board members throughout the United States.
As an author, he has contributed greatly to the membership library co-authoring college text, developing instructional manuals, directing a series of career videos for membership development and being extensively published in industry related magazines, including Club Management, BoardRoom, Club Director and DailyFee magazines. His literary contributions to the private club industry have earned him two national literary awards.
In 1995, Mr. Coyne co-founded the Professional Club Marketing Association, an allied association to the CMAA and PGA, to represent the membership directors in the industry with certification, placement services, educational programs, workshops, seminars and representation throughout the industry. This Association now has over 600 members, over 1200 whom have been awarded the coveted Certified Membership Professional (CMP) designation.
In 2001, Rick was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, for his philanthropic contributions to our industry from BoardRoom magazine. In 2002 and in 2008, Rick received the Gary Player Black Knight Educator of the Year Award.
Executive Director/Co-Founder - Professional Club Marketing Association
Donna Coyne joined Club Mark Corporation in 1988 and has been instrumental in developing marketing initiatives and team training programs for well over 300 clubs. Donna has earned the reputation as one of the top recruiters for Membership Marketing Directors and provides consulting to clubs and directors nationally on placement and compensation of key marketing personnel.
She has vast experience in hiring and training of membership marketing personnel in country clubs, city clubs and athletic clubs. She also provides extensive industry experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, sales and communications.
In 1995, Donna co-developed the Professional Club Marketing Association, an allied association to the CMAA and PGA, to represent Membership Marketing Directors in the industry with certification, placement services, educational programs, workshops, seminars and representation throughout the industry. In 2006, Donna developed Professional Club Placement & Training Services, as a recruiting and training resource in which clubs could rely on placement and professional training of Membership Directors, Marketing Directors and Member Relation Directors.
In 2005, Donna was the recipient of the Gary Player Black Knight Educator of the Year Award.
Michele J. Carroll - Senior Vice-President of Membership Sales & Marketing
Michele Carroll joined Club Mark Corporation in 2008 after completing 16 years with ClubCorp, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Membership Sales and Marketing. Michele held five different job titles during her tenure, starting with Club Manager, Regional Director of Catering Sales, Regional Food & Beverage Operations, and Vice President of Membership Sales. Michele brings over 23 years of Private Club experience.
During the 23 plus years she has created hundreds of successful sales strategies for Private Country Clubs, Business Clubs and Athletic Clubs. Michele created numerous value added tools, marketing plans, and training curriculums to help clubs drive revenues and achieve sales goals. She also has extensive experience in creating effective methodologies for broadening relationships with Members, guests and customers resulting in significant improvement of Member retention for Private Clubs.
Michele provides a wealth of intellectual capital that defines the Membership sales process that directs the sales professionals to the best opportunities and promotes a highly effective Member and guest referral strategy.
Michele was selected to serve on ClubCorp's first Leadership Cabinet and received three Leadership Awards during her time with ClubCorp which included the Superior Leadership award-West Region, National Leadership Award as well as recognized numerous times for her achievements and contributions for Sales and Revenue Leadership.
Lee A. Wright - Director of Communications
Lee Wright joined Club Mark Corporation in 2008 after completing 5 years with Club Corp and 14 years with Wright Way Graphics as President and Creative/Marketing Director. Lee was the creative art director while at ClubCorp. Lee has over 27 years of Graphic Design experience with 19 years devoted to the design of private club branding and collateral materials.
During the 19 years Lee has worked with Private Clubs he has designed a variety of graphic communications pieces for private country clubs, business clubs, athletic clubs and university clubs including: Club Logos, Club Identity Packages, Stationary Packages, Invitations, Newsletters, Club Profiles and Brochures, Newspaper and Magazine Ads, as well as Membership Packages which include Acceptance Applications, Proposal Cards, Membership Cards, Invitations, Classifications, Dues & Fees and Enrollment Folders to help provide a cohesive branded image to their current and potential members in order to help drive revenues and achieve sales goals.
