He is past president of New York Life Chairman’s counsel and is past member of the Advisory Board for New York Life. He is a founding member of several philanthropic organizations, including the Austin Chapter of the National Christian Foundation, Community New Start and City School in Austin, Texas, where he has served as its chairman for eight years. He is also past Vice President of Finance for the Austin Opera.
