He then went to South Texas College of Law, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence. Upon earning his J.D., he stayed in the Houston area, where he not only practiced lawbut alsoserved as a special judge for the Harris County Criminal Courts. After 23 years, Charley moved to Buffalo, TX, where he opened his own practice.
