Welcome to the Heights Veterinary Clinic, P.C. website!
We at Heights Veterinary Clinic strive to provide the best possible value in quality medicine to our clients and their pets through state-of-the-art surgical, diagnostic, and medical technology. By forging a relationship with both pet and owner, we thrive on providing compassionate, lifelong care that suits the real wants and needs of today's families.
Our experienced doctors and staff understand that pets are important members of the family. We promote a healthy lifestyle through proper diet, preventative medicine, and behavioral awareness. All conditions, life cycles and stages are fully evaluated before any recommendations are made.
To better serve pets and their families, we recently added an 1,800 square foot medical facility. This new addition was designed to enhance diagnostic, surgical, radiographic, and dental capabilities and was named in honor of Dr. Kenton R. Fickes for his legacy of improving veterinary medicine in Houston.
The clinic is closed between 12:00 and 2:00 on the last Wednesday of every month for staff training.
The front door is locked and the phones are not answered during these hours.
Halloween is coming!
Be careful that your pets don't get into your treats! Chocolate may be potentially fatal to dogs and cats.
As hunting season fast approaches, you need to evaluate the protection your hunting dogs have. Are they current on their routine vaccinations such as DHLPP/C, kennel cough, and rabies? Are they current on heartworm and external parasite protection? Have they been permanently identified by microchip in case they get lost. We at Heights Veterinary Clinic, PC offer all of these services. Also, we carry vaccines to further try to protect your hunting buddy from rattlesnake bites and lyme disease spread by ticks.
Call us at 713-869-6644 if you have any questions. Or better yet, bring your pet in for an examination and evaluation of their medical needs.
Now it is warmer, we expect increased flea activity. Remember we offer a variety of products to help control fleas on pets and the environment. Caution:
The FDA is reviewing a number of over-the-counter topical products because of severe, life threatening, side-affects. Please ask us which products we recommend.
With increased mosquito activity, remember Heartworm prevention treatment. Also, beware of heatstroke, and please do not leave your pets unattended in vehicles.
