Further, the renewal of family life is a major and fundamental first step in the evangelization of the world.

ADVENT, that hopeful season which prepares our hearts for the Christmas Day miracle, is almost here! This is a reminder that Magnificat Center Books and Gifts, located at 1103 S. 9th St., Temple, has many different sizes, shapes and kinds of Advent wreaths and candles. Come early for the best selection. Also, the Advent meditation books are in the store now, with several kinds available. As well, the Advent Book for small Christian communities, published by Nazareth House, will be made available free of charge again this year. It is a publication that we are happy to provide free of charge and you may pick yours up at either Magnificat Center Books and Gifts or the adjacent Chapel of the Incarnation. We hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving and a most meaningful and blessed Advent season.

MAGNIFICAT CENTER BOOKS AND GIFTS, 1103 S. 9TH ST., TEMPLE, WILL CLOSE AT 5:00 P.M. ON FRIDAY, JULY 30 AND WE WILL REOPEN ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 AT 10:00 A.M. THIS ALLOWS THE MANY VOLUNTEERS WHO MANAGE OUR SHOP TO HAVE A CONTEMPLATIVE MONTH AND TIME WITH THEIR FAMILIES. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER MONTHLY COPIES OF "THE MAGNIFICAT" AS WELL AS ANY OF YOUR SPECIAL ORDERS AND ITEMS THAT YOU NEED BEFORE WE CLOSE FOR THIS TIME. Magnificat Center Books and Gifts, 1103 S. 9th Street, Temple, across the street from St. Mary's Catholic Church, invites you to see our beautiful new items for sale from the Czech Republic. These include rosaries made of natural stone, Czech crystal and pearls. Each is different and at this time we have a very good supply. Many have crucifixes from Jerusalem. We have never seen such beautiful rosaries and we think you will agree. The rosaries are made with small "locks" between each bead, making them almost indestructible over time and usage. These make beautiful gifts for RCIA, confirmation, graduation, weddings, baptisms, communion, as well as Mother's Day and Father's Day. Come in soon while our supply is still large. We also have rosary necklaces and bracelets as well. Our store is open every day except Mondays. Thank you for your patronage and may you have a blessed Triduum and holy Easter!

Nazareth House celebrates our 15th anniversary on Wednesday, March 17! We give thanks to God for His abundant graces which have allowed us to serve His people during these wonderful years. On St. Patrick's Day we invite you to an OPEN HOUSE at the Magnificat Center, 1103 S. 9th Street in Temple, just across the street from St. Mary's Church. We are open from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. that day and we will have refreshments for you, as well as offering a special sale: EVERYONE WEARING GREEN THAT DAY WILL RECEIVE A CHANCE AT A DRAWING AS WELL AS A 20% DISCOUNT ON ANY ONE ITEM IN THE STORE.
